Summer is one of our favorite times of the year! It is a time to relax, have fun, and see friends and family. It is also a time when people tend to go out more than they did in the winter, and have parties in their yards.
And while this is all good and fun, it is important that if you are hosting any parties that you make sure you keep these following safety tips in mind…
1. Keep an eye on how much people are drinking: when friends and family come to your place for any parties, it is important that you keep an eye on how much everyone is drinking. The worst thing you could do is let your friends and family drive drunk home. If you believe that your guests might be too intoxicated to drive, call them a Lyft or an Uber, or just let them spend the night.
2. Make sure that your pool has a gate: this is crucial. While hopping in the pool to cool off is everyone’s favorite activity in the summer, it can be dangerous, too. In order to avoid any serious injuries, make sure that no one is in the pool area if they should not be there. Additionally, remind your guests that they should not run around the pool or go swimming if they have had too much to drink.
3. Put valuable items away and out of sight: even if you are inviting over trusted friends and family, it is always a good idea to move any valuable you have in the house into your bedroom, or another area where people will not be lounging.
Even while these are just a few, small tips to help make sure that you have safe parties over the summer, they are very important and forgotten and ignored far too often.
